Foglie secche lavorate a crochet

Precisione, tecnica e tanta fantasia. Susanna Bauer è la protagonista di questo interessante progetto creativo che vede come soggetti principali elementi naturali, come: foglie, pezzi di legno e pietre. Susanna utilizza elementi naturali scovati durante le passeggiate e li arricchisce con ricami all’uncinetto, creando sensazionali opere d’arte davvero meravigliose.

Le opere più affascinanti del suo lavoro sono indubbiamente quelle che prevedono l’utilizzo delle foglie secche: anche se potrebbe sembrare impossibile, l’artista è riuscita a lavorare un elemento fragile come la foglia secca trasformandolo in una “scultura” delicata e unica nel suo genere.

Susanna ha imparato a lavorare all’uncinetto in Germania già in tenera età, ma, piuttosto che realizzare coperte, maglioni o tovagliette, è sempre stata più interessata a praticare il ricamo intorno a piccoli oggetti. La talentuosa artista riesce così a trasformare le fragili foglie in oggetti che assumono forme completamente diverse, come: tunnel, cubi, ovali, quasi a richiamare accessori di pelletteria piuttosto che elementi naturali.

Lei stessa ha dichiarato che nel suo lavoro c’è un buon equilibrio tra la fragilità e la forza, un lavoro di una delicatezza disarmante…complimenti a questa bravissima artista!

Delicate leaves and other natural objects decorated with fine crocheting are Susanna Bauer’s specialty. She was taught how to crochet as a small child in Germany, but was more interested in making tiny items instead of blankets and covers. These skills led Bauer into a career in model-making, but her love of nature drew her back.
